Nicole graduated with honors from Maine College of Art (MECA) in 2014 with a degree in Graphic Design. She currently works as the Associate Designer & Digital Media Manager at MECA; alongside her full-time job, she takes on freelance work.
As a student at MECA, Nicole completed three design internships; worked collaboratively to design identities for both MECA and community events; submitted work to competitions, for which she achieved a semi-finalist (Adobe Design Achievement Awards, 2013, Publishing Design) and a winner entry (Geary’s Summer Ale Design Competition, 2014); completed freelance work for companies in different industries; and had an active role as a member of MECA’s student design group Maine Type Lab. She has been a member of AIGA Maine since 2013.
Nicole's freelance work consists of the design of logos, identities, advertisements, web and print collateral, and social media creation and strategy.
Her clients have included Access Health, Agile Therapeutics, Banded Horn Brewing Company, Gallery Leather Company, the City of Cape Elizabeth, Maine International Film Festival, the Ladies Adventure Club, Periodontics, P.C., Portland Bach Festival, Portland Press Hotel, Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce, Pulp + Wire, Opportunity Alliance, The Sunrise Guide, and Valico Group.

"I have had the pleasure of working with Nicole since she was a student at MECA where, in addition to attending school full-time, she also built up a vibrant local, regional, and national freelance practice. Since graduating, Nicole has maintained a graphic design practice working with a wide variety of clients and serving their needs with professionalism, punctuality, and good design." — Jessica Tomlinson, Director of Artists at Work at MECA; Vice President of Board at SPACE
"Nicole produces top-quality work (our logo and print materials) that continues to be noticed and praised by our patrons and supporters. She is also extremely easy to work with, taking into account our needs and wants by asking the right questions, while also offering her own ideas to fit in with that vision. She is prompt, courteous, flexible, and friendly. We heartily recommend her design services and can't wait to have her design more pieces for us in the future!" — Julie Marsh, Managing Director at Portland Bach Festival
